Oscar Vann

Mr. Oscar Vann, 82, of 8073 Laura Ray Road, Linden, passed away July 11, 2019.

The family is receiving friends at the home of Apostle Melvin and Jennifer Blue at 297 Cross Creek Lane, Angier.

Survivors:  wife - Overseer Bettie Vann of the home; children - Vincent Vann (Angela) of Roseboro and Chantel Vann Thompson of Camden, SC; sister - Mary Vann Buggs of Manhattan, New York; stepchildren - Mary Owens of Roseboro, Johnnie Owens (Linda) of Garner, Jeffrey Owens (Sandra) of Fayetteville, Willie Blue (Evelyn) of Fayetteville, Roy Blue (Regina) of Wade, Ray Blue (Janet) of Fayetteville, Gregory Blue (Dawn) of Wilmington, Apostle Melvin Blue (Jennifer) of Angier, Darlene Blue-Williams (Dennis) of Raeford, Timothy Blue (Charlesene) of Linden, Jessina Cummings of Angier, Darryl McBryde (Alexis)  of Angier, Cheryl Bryant (James) of Hope Mills and Shirley Pickett (Jamal) of Linden. Several grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, from 7:00 pm - 8:00pm, at 1st Baptist Church, 412 Johnson Street, Roseboro.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at 2:00 pm, at the Cape Fear A Conference Headquarters, 25 Beaver Road, Erwin.

The burial will follow in the Bibleway Memorial Gardens, Linden.
