Mary is a native of Sampson County, NC and was raised in the town of Newton Grove, NC. She is a 1968 graduate of Pleasant Grove High School and a 1998 graduate of Fayetteville Technical Community College. She has been a licensed funeral director since 1999. Her past employment was with United Carolina Bank (now BB&T) where she worked for 13 years. She started working full-time with the funeral home in 1992. Mary is a member of White Oak Disciples of Christ Church in Newton Grove, NC, on the Board of Trustees at Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital in Dunn, NC, the Charles Cook American Legion Post # 193 Ladies Auxiliary and she is an Ambassador for the Dunn Chamber of Commerce. Her management skills include customer relations, family counseling and pre-need counseling. Mary is married to Dallas L. Dafford, Sr. and they have two children; Teresa and Dallas, Jr. She has three grandsons, Julian, Cameron, and Caden. Mary enjoys exercising, shopping and spending time with family and friends.
