Mr. Garland E. McDowell, Sr., 87, of 802 East Johnson Street, Dunn, passed away January 11, 2020.
He leaves his precious memories: Bishop John McDowell, Sr. (Patricia) of Dunn, Edna Jane McDowell-Gerald of Petersburg, VA., Garland McDowell, Jr. (Cassaundra) of Fuquay-Varina, Carland McDowell, Eric McDowell (Tasha), Corey Williams (Juandra) all of Dunn, Sylvia Shields (Derry) of Fort Worth, TX, and James Williams of Charlotte; his surviving siblings, Alma Moore of Alexandria, VA, Ruldrolf McDowell (Lula) of Baltimore, MD, and Joyce McDowell (Goody) of Baltimore, MD; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
The public viewing will be at the Dafford Funeral Home in Dunn, Wednesday, January 15, 2020 from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm.
The funeral service will be conducted Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the Cape Fear A Conference Headquarters, 25 Beaver Road, Erwin.
Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery, Dunn.
