Mr. Thomas Staton, 81, 150 Ervin McNeill Street, Bunnlevel, passed away June 14, 2019. The family will receive friends at 114 Staton Street, Bunnlevel.

Survivors: wife of 54 years - Mary Staton; daughters - Mary McKoy, Thelma Staton, Jo Ann Staton, Gwendolyn McLean (Phillip) and Latoshia Staton all of Bunnlevel; sons - Thomas E. Staton (Angela) of Lillington and Antonio Staton of Bunnlevel; brothers - Lewis Staton (Joyce) and Larry Staton (Georgia) both of Lillington, Alton Staton (Rose) of Fuquay-Varina, Sherrill Staton (Debbie) of Willow Spring, Raymond Staton (Louise) of Fuquay-Varina and James Daymon of Petersburg, Florida; sisters - Carolyn Gilchrist of Fuquay-Varina, Annie Staton of Raleigh, Elsie Staton of Coats and Glenda Staton of Benson; twenty-five grandchildren, one of which he helped raise as his own; thirty-four great grandchildren and one great-great grandson; sisters-in-law - Phyllis Staton, Velma Thomas and Lois McLean (Leon) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The viewing will be held on Friday, June 21, 2019 from 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm at the Dafford Funeral Home, Dunn.

The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Cape Fear A Conference Headquarters, 25 Beaver Road, Erwin.

The burial will follow in the McLean’s Cemetery, Bunnlevel.
