Ama Elliott

Mrs. Ama Jean Chance Elliott, 58, of 165 Dura Built Lane, Coats, passed away June 30, 2021. She was the daughter of Caleb Blue and the late Mary Douglas Chance Surles. She attended Cumberland County Schools where she graduated from Pine Forest High School, Class of 1982. She later attended Central Carolina Community College where she became a licensed and certified nursing aide.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband - Wayne Elliott; son - Wayne Chance; father - Caleb Blue,Sr. (Shirley); brothers - Chris Chance (Chrisandra), Caleb Blue, Adrian Blue (Katina), Jeffery Blue, and Mitchel Blue (Dana); sisters - Gwendolyn Jackson (Arriod), Jacqueline Malone, and Valerie Blue Smith (Mark); aunts - Alma L.Spencer, Katie L. Ledbetter (Leroy), and Lillie M. Chance; along with a host of nieces,  nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Cape Fear A Conference Headquarters, 25 Beaver Road, Erwin, following the facility’s guidelines for entrance, capacity, and social distancing.

Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery, Dunn.
