Obituary

Ms. Artelia Ward, 65, of 604 Tilghman Drive, Apt. 1G, Dunn, passed away January 4, 2021. She leaves to cherish her memories: her son - Dennis Ward of Clinton; daughters - Angela Ward of Dunn, Rontelia Petrie-Coulter (Eric) of Charlotte; step children - Reginald Petrie of St. Paul, Minnesota, Ronda McDowell of Charlotte; adopted daughter - Tracey Clarke of Dunn; brothers - David McArthur (Sue) of Clinton, James McArthur (Vicky) of Seattle Washington; sisters - Margie McNeill (Charles) of Valdosta, GA, Pamela Scott (Stanley) of Lillington; sisters-in-law - Adalay McArthur, Lora Giles, Celia McArthur all of Benson, Delores Ward of South Carolina, JoAnn Ward of Fayetteville; brothers-in-law - Jr. and Ray Ward all of Benson; 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; a special friend - Betty McDougald, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. God daughters - Freda Geddie, Shonnette Ray of Dunn.

The viewing will be Sunday, January 10, 2021 at the Good News Mission Revival Center, Dunn, from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm. Masks are highly recommended and following the church’s guidelines for entrance and capacity.

The funeral service will be conducted Sunday, January 10, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Good News Mission Revival Center, Dunn. Masks are highly recommended and following the church’s guidelines for entrance and capacity.  Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery, Dunn.
