Bertha McNeill

Mrs. Bertha McNeill, 92, of 126 Allen Dr, Erwin, passed away May 30, 2022. Receiving family and friends at the home of Joann Williams, 701 Tim Currin Road, Lillington, daily between the hours of 2-9 PM.  Masks  are recommended.

She was the daughter of the late Roland Van McLean and Fannie Marie McLean of Bunnlevel.  She received her education at Shawtown High School, Lillington from 1939 - 1950 and graduated from McLean Chapel School in 1952.  She was employed at Terry Hill in Coats, and later gained employment at Campbell University as a Baker where she retired after 50 years of service.

She joined Green's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in 1958 and served faithfully in numerous capacities. She served a the President of Home Mission, was a member of the Mother Board, Senior Choir, Gospel Choir, Pastor Aide, and Kitchen Committees.

She leaves to cherish her memories:  her son - Jimmy Lee McNeill of the home; step-son - Ned Junior McNeill of Paterson, NJ.; step-daughter - Joyce Mason of Elizabethtown, NC.; one brother - Roosevelt McLean of Capitol Heights, MD.; two sisters-in-law - Lois McLean of Lillington, and Sue McNeill of Erwin; son-in-law Donnel "Bo" Frink of Dunn, NC;  two grandsons, nine great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be at Green's Chapel Free Will Baptist  Church, Sunday, June 6, 2022 from 1PM - 2:55PM.  Funeral services will begin at 3PM .  Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery, Dunn.
