Mrs. Brenda Matthews, 63, of 6115 Tudor Place, Linden, passed away June 23, 2020. She leaves to cherish her memories; her loving husband - Harry Matthews, Sr. of the home; sons - Michael Smith (Tashika) of Raleigh, Cedric Matthews of Linden, Harry Matthews, Jr. (Charity) of Valdosta, GA, Derrick Matthews (Yomi) of Cary, Andre McKoy (Christy) of Quincy, IL., Steven McKoy of Lillington; grandchildren - Cyante, Mikayla, Hailey, Harper, Alex, Jalyn, Dericka, Xavier; sisters - Delois Hall (Leonard) of Spring Lake, Brenda Hynes of Fayetteville; brothers - George Smith of Spring Lake, Thurman Smith Jr. of Fayetteville; goddaughter - Monesha Bass (Zedrick) of Spring Lake; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The viewing will be Sunday, July 5, 2020 at the Dafford Funeral Home Chapel, Dunn, from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm, with no more than 10 individuals at any one time.

The funeral service will be conducted Sunday, July 5, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Dafford Funeral Home Chapel, Dunn, with no more than 50 people present. 

Burial will follow in the Anderson Creek Christian Center Memorial Gardens, 1680 Will Lucas Road, Linden.

As with the newest mandate from Governor Cooper, masks are required and practice social distancing.
