Mr. Charles Louis Gilbert, 82, of 113 Barnes Dr., Erwin, passed away, April 25, 2023.
Charles leaves to cherish his memories, wife of 56 years- Sandra Barnes Gilbert of home; daughters- Sharon Campbell (Ricky), Veronica Shaw (Randy) and Ruby Cassell (Barry), all of Erwin, NC; grandchildren- Jonathan Gilbert (Rose), Ariel Campbell, Arianna Campbell, Kendra Gilbert, Randi Shaw, Janiqua Gilbert, Charlee Gilbert, Danielle Cassel, and Barry Cassell, Jr.; 13 great-grandchildren; brother- Carson Gilbert (Pauline) of Richmond, VA; sister- Mary Gilbert of Baltimore, MD; sister-n-law- Rosa Gilbert of New Haven, CT; brother-n-law- Grady Petty, Sr. of Sanford, NC; bonus son- Willie Dingle (Deidra) of Bunnlevel, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be held at Dafford Funeral Home- Dunn, Sunday, April 30, 2023, from 12PM-5PM. MASKS ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.
Graveside Services will be Private (per family’s request).
