Crystal McLean

Ms. Crystal "Meka" McLean, 48, of 1820 Creek Top Loop, Apt. 305, Raleigh, formerly of Harnett County, passed away November 20, 2022 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC.. Meka was born on October 27, 1974 to Ms. Janet McLean and Chester McNeill of Erwin, NC

Tameka graduated from Triton High School in 1993 and continued her education at North Carolina Central University.  She attended Oak Grove AME Zion Church and after relocating to Wake County became a member of Watts Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.  Tameka was employed with the State of North Carolina where she ended her career working with the State of North Carolina lottery.  She dedicated her life to her family and friends with paticular focus on children, she loved children. 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Eva Mae McLean, Charles Covington, and Mr. and Mrs. Earnest and Catherine McNeill.

Tameka leaves to cherish her memories: one son - Andy Stacker II of Raleigh, NC; her parents - Janet McLean and Chester McNeill (Gwen) of Erwin, NC; five sisters - Sharresse Wright of Greensboro, NC, Chakua McLean and Natasha McNeill of Erwin, NC, Javana Quick of Angier, NC and Lakeisha Armstrong of Spring Lake, NC; three brothers - Morris "Ronnie" McLean of Erwin, NC, Sherreon McLean of Bunnlevel, NC, and Terry McLean of Fayetteville, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.  A special aunt, Mary Arnold (Franklin) of Fayetteville, NC and two great aunts - Ella Covington of Erwin, NC., and Thelma McNeill of New York.  Special friends, Joe Harrington, Shaneka Lee, and Shonda Winbish.

The public viewing will be Sunday, November 27, 2022 at Oak Grove AME Zion Church, Erwin, NC  from 1:00 pm - 1:55 pm Masks are required to enter.

The funeral service will be conducted Sunday November 27, 2022 at Oak Grove AME Zion Church Erwin, NC at 2:00 pm.  Masks are required to enter,   The interment will follow in the Riverside Community Cemtery, Erwin.
