Mrs. Darlene McKoy, 69, of 643 Janet Circle, Spring Lake, passed away June 7, 2020. She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving husband of 46 years - Richard McKoy; two children - Richard E’Ron McKoy of San Diego, CA, Michelle Pitts (Marcus) of Hampton, VA; three grandchildren - Jasmine Pitts, Leah Pitts, and Kaylin Pitts; two sisters - DeVelma Page and Irma Scott; four sisters-in-law - Elise McQueen, Myrtle Kearse, Jessie Ellis, and Willa Mae McKoy; three brothers-in-law - Melvin McLean (Bertha), Alvis McKoy (Willa) and Johnny McKoy; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Lastly, her confidant and travel comrade of 40 years, Geamere Berry (Ernest).
The viewing will be Sunday, June 14, 2020 from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm at the Dafford Funeral Home, Angier, with no more than 10 individuals inside at a time.
The final viewing will be Monday, June 15, 2020 from 11:00 am - 12 Noon at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 118 Johnson Street, Fayetteville.
The funeral service will be conducted Monday, June 15, 2020 at 12 Noon at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 118 Johnson Street, Fayetteville. Masks are recommended and practice social distancing.
Burial will follow in the Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Ft. Bragg.
