Mr. Dewey Lee Murphy, 71, of 82 Sinclair Lake Road, Newton Grove, passed away September 2, 2021. He leaves to cherish his memory: his daughters - Wanda Murphy of Roseboro, Michelle Hines of the home; grandchildren - Laquista Murphy, Rahneisha Durrett, Alexis Durrett, Victoria Durrett, Jalen Durrett, Prentis Fort, Natasha Fort, and Gavin Williams; great grandchildren - Nevaeh Thomas and Ashton Durrett; sisters - Louise Smith, Tempie Bullock (Raydolph), Wilmia Murphy all of Newton Grove, Myrlin Murphy of Chapel Hill; brother - Robert Murphy (Priscilla Joy); sister-in-law - Anna Murphy; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The public viewing will be Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at the Dafford Funeral Home Chapel, Dunn, from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Masks are required to enter.
The funeral service will be conducted Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Dafford Funeral Home Chapel, Dunn, with no more than 75 people present. Masks are required.
Burial will follow in the Littlefield M.B. Church Cemetery, Newton Grove.
