Mr. Dexter Smith, 53, of 108 White Cedar Lane, Yorktown, Virginia, formerly of Linden, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2022. 

Dexter is survived by his wife Sylvia of Hampton, VA; sons - Kendrick Smith of Beckley, WV and D’Ante Smith of Hampton, VA; daughter - Shaquana Smith of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren - Bryana Smith and Karter Smith both of Beckley, WV and Avyana Smith of Arizona; father - Felix Blue of Linden, NC; brothers - Jeffery Smith (Shirley) of Bunnlevel, NC and Jason Blue (Christine) of Fayetteville, NC; great-aunt - Cora Cameron of Erwin, NC; sisters-in-law - Sandra Smith, Bertina Smith, Gwen Elliott of Erwin, Kathy Smith of Tampa, FL, Cookie Smith of Columbia, MD, Janet Hill of Laurel, MD, Antoinette Johnson (Dwight) of Havelock, NC, Katrina Smith of Fayetteville, Shawanda Stevens of Bunnlevel, NC and Ollie Pipkins of Pittsburgh, PA; brother-in-law - Melvin McNeill (Lisa) of Bunnlevel, NC and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Viewing will be Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 1PM - 5PM at Dafford Funeral Home Dunn, North Carolina.  Masks and social distancing are required.

Funeral will be Sunday, April 10, 2022, 1PM at Cape Fear Conference "A" in Erwin, North Carolina.  Masks and social distancing will follow the guidelines of the Conference Center.

Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery Dunn, North Carolina.
