Ellen Baggett

Ms. Ellen Baggett, 90, of 3400 Baptist Chapel Road, Godwin, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022.  The family will receive friends at the home of Alease Baggett, 3269 Baptist Chapel Road, Godwin. 

Ellen was born on November 12, 1932 to the late Wiley C. and Ruby C. Baggett.  She was educated in the Sampson County School system and spent her early years working on the farm as well as enjoying the craft of sewing which she loved greatly.  She was extremely good at math and would often help children in the family with their math homework.  She found great joy being at home and she especially enjoyed sudoku puzzles, word search puzzles, watching television and speaking with family and friends over the telephone.  She was a member of Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church and served God in her everyday walk by sharing words of truth and encouragement to those around.  She found comfort in the Lord's Prayer and cherished memories of those gone before her.

Her memories will be engraved in the hearts of: her sister-in-law - Alease Baggett of Godwin; nephew - Jamie Baggett (Jacqueline) of Godwin;  her nieces - Phyllis Baggett (Edward) of Kernersville, Tammy Baggett (Parenza) of Rougemount and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, great nephews and friends.

Public viewing will be at the Dafford Funeral Home Chapel, Dunn, Wednesday, November 23, 2022 from 12Noon - 12:55PM.  Funeral services will begin at 1PM.  Interment will follow in the Baggett Family Cemetery, Godwin.
