John D. Murphy

Mr. John D. Murphy, 75, of 1376 Hinson Road, Dunn, passed away March 26, 2021. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife - Anna Murphy of the home; children - David Murphy of Clinton, Jennifer Murphy-Teachey (PJ) of Rose Hill, Christel Murphy of Aberdeen, WA., Helen Monk of the home; grandchildren - Aniyah and Christina Teachey, Tia Robinson, Brianca Murphy, Demetri Murphy; great-grandson - ARI Barnum; sisters - Annie Louise Smith, Tempie Bullock (Raydolph), Wilma Murphy of Newton Grove, Myrlin Murphy of Chapel Hill; brothers - Robert Murphy (Priscilla) of Garner, Dewey Murphy of Clinton, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The public viewing will be Thursday, April 1, 2021 at the Dafford Funeral Home, Dunn, from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm with no more than 10 individuals inside at one time. Masks are required and practice social distancing.

The funeral service will be conducted Friday, April 2, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Point Level Disciples of Christ Church, Clinton, with masks required and following the church's guidelines for entrance, capacity and social distancing.

Burial will follow in the Littlefield Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Rosin Hill Road, Newton Grove.
