Mr. Larry Myles, 68, of 4829 Overcreek Lane, Dunn, passed away September 8, 2022. The family is receiving friends at the home of Rochelle and Wilbert McLain, 425 Bristlecone Road, Fayetteville, daily between the hours of 2PM - 8PM. Masks are recommended!
Larry was the son of the late Nathaniel and Molly Myles of Dunn. He was brought up in Smith Grove Free Will Baptist Church and he frequently visited Spring Hill Free Will Baptist Church and a few other churches along the way. He served in the United States Army from 1974 - 1979 and received and honorable discharge.
He was employed with Burlington Mills and Carver Equipment throughout the years. He was a hard worker and believed in helping others. He was a loving father and cherished his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters - Rochelle McClain (Wilbert) of Fayetteville, Tamesha Thompson (James) of Hope Mills; brothers - Elder James Myles(Eldress Mary), Harry Myles (Eldress Jacquelyn), Nathaniel Myles, Jr., all of Dunn; sisters - Mother Heddie Jacobs, Pastor Shirley A. Myles, both of Fayetteville, Eldress Annie Miller, Betty Williams, both of Dunn; aunts - Loucletta Adams of Durham, Mother Landonia Johnson of Dunn; uncles - Odell Maynor of Queen, NY., Edward Maynor, Jr. of Dunn; eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren; two bonus daughters - Sharon Williams-Talley, Latoya McNair; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Public viewing will be at the Dafford Funeral Home, Dunn, Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 12Noon - 5PM., with members of the family present from 4PM - 5PM.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, September 18, 2022 @ 3PM at the Cape Fear A Conference Headquarters, 25 Beaver Road, Erwin. Burial will be Monday, September 19, 2022 @ Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Ft. Bragg, at 12 Noon with military honors.
