Mrs. Laurel J. Bradford, 87, of 506 Hillview Drive, Durham, passed away, Thursday, May 26, 2022. She was born in Elyria, Ohio to the late Elder Ben and Mary Fitzpatrick. Mother Laurel Joyce Bradford was united in Holy Matrimony to the late District Elder Jesse Bradford on May 11, 1949 in Angola, Indiana, and to this union were born 7 children.
Mother Bradford was God's Evangelist and moved to Laurel, Mississippi with the re-establishment of The Way of the Cross Church, receiving her Ministerial and Evangelist License. The church still stands today under the Pastorship of District Elder Karl Bradford.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her children - Mary Smith (Roman), Billy (Gayle) of Durham, Jesse (Christine) of Washington, DC., Kevin (Pam) of Oberlin, Ohio, Pastor Karl Bradford of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Pastor James (Wendy) of Landover, Maryland, Vyonne (Tracy) Smith of Wake Forest; honorary daughter Cathy Culbreth; 22 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends.
Viewing will be Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 10:45AM - 11:55AM at The Greater Faith Holiness Church, 2703 Holloway Street, Durham. The Celebration of Life Services will begin @ the church @ 12Noon.
A Memorial Celebration of Life will be on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 @ 12Noon at the Morning Star Baptist Church, Laurel, Mississippi. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill # 2 Cemetery, Laurel, Mississippi. Services in Mississippi are handled by Chapel of Angels Funeral Home, 823 Martin Luther King Avenue, Laurel, Mississippi.
