Mrs. Linda Robinson Bumpers, 64, of 806 Ridgeway Avenue, Durham, formerly of Sampson County, passed away April 8, 2021. The family will receive friends at the home of Carolyn Killett, 232 Melissa Drive, Dunn.
Linda was born to the late James Owen and Elizabeth Robinson on February 6, 1957 in Sampson County, NC. She graduated from Hobbton High School, Class of 1975. She was a trailblazer in the music department of Cedar Point Disciples of Christ Church, leading the youth choir and eventually the # 2 Choir, Male Chorus, and the Gospel Choir.
She leaves to cherish her memories: a sister - Carolyn Killett of Dunn; a brother - Danny Ray Robinson (Sheerie) of Smithfield; sister-in-law - Minister Betty Sue Robinson of Newton Grove. Although Linda did not have any children, she treated and loved each one of her nieces and nephews as her own. one Goddaughter - Le'Donna Pegues (Ronald) of Fuquay-Varina; nieces - Tara Hall (Zannie) of Winston-Salem, Sherrillan Robinson of Four Oaks, Regina Robinson of Newton Grove, Alicia Robinson of Winston-Salem, and one adoptive niece - Danielle Kinning of Raleigh; nephews - Joshua Killett (Jamie) of CO, Jamie Robinson of Newton Grove, and Brandon Killett (Jamie) of TN; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
The public viewing will be Monday, April 12, 2021 at the Dafford Funeral Home, Dunn, from 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm with no more than 10 individuals inside at one time. Masks are required to enter and practicing social distancing.
The graveside service will be Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Hillside Cemetery, Newton Grove, with no more than 50 people present, practicing social distancing. Masks are required.
