Ms. Markita Cheree Amerson, 27, of 93 Long Branch Road, Dunn, passed away September 23, 2021. She leaves to cherish her memories: mother - Loretta Amerson of Dunn; father - Marlon Hicks of Erwin; grandparents - Fannie Smith (Evon) of Dunn, Laura Amerson of Dunn,  Betty Bell (Gerry) of Erwin, Ervin McQueen (Jannie); children - Jacolby  Amerson, Za'Miay Massey, A'moni Amerson; Ma'Kyia Amerson; sisters - Alexis McFadyn, Shan'tay Johnson, Tyteana Hawkins, and Clara Wink; brothers - Marco Amerson (Kamilya), Brandon Hicks, Martravis Bristow, Zackary Hicks, and Jayden Davis; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The public viewing will be Sunday, October 3, 2021 from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm at the Dafford Funeral Home Chapel, Dunn. Masks are required to enter.
