Michael Currie

Mr. Michael Currie, 55, of 202 West J Street, Erwin, passed away March 21, 2021. The family is receiving friends at the home of his mother, Ms. Pearlie Ray, 2858 Old Hwy. 421, Lillington.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife - Sandra Currie; children - Maria Cox (Marcus), Tiffany Clark (Preston Diggs), Michael Currie, Jr., Shequita Elliott (Anthony Elliott, Jr.), Phillip Currie, Tracy Bynum of Lillington, Bradley Monroe (Keanae) of Colorado, Deante Monroe; 15 grandchildren; mother - Pearlie Ray; siblings - Diane McDougald, Willie Currie, Bobby Currie (Shelly), Lorraine Currie, Jeffrey Ray (Yolanda), Andrew Ray, Robert Earl Ray; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

The public viewing will be Friday, March 26, 2021 from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm at the Dafford Funeral Home, Angier, with masks required to enter, practicing social distancing, and no more than 10 individuals inside at one time.

The funeral service will be conducted Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 12 Noon at Grace Ballroom, 91 S. Broad Street E., Angier, with masks required to enter and following the venue's guidelines for entrance and capacity. There will be a public viewing Saturday at Grace Ballroom from 11:00 am - 12 Noon.

Burial will follow in the Norrington A.M.E. Zion Church Cemetery, Lillington.
