It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Minister Doris McDougald West, 65, of 508 A West Edgar Street, Lillington, on August 7, 2024.
The family will receive family and friends at the home of Elder Wayne and Elder Kimberly Johnson, 141 Fox Run, Cameron, NC.
Minister Doris leaves to cherish her memories, husband- Arnold West of the home; daughter- Kimberly McDougald Johnson (Pastor Wayne) of Cameron, NC; grandchildren- Christopher and Kiana Johnson of Cameron, NC and Airman Juwan Johnson of Dyess Air Force Base, TX; great-grandson- Amir Johnson; sisters- Ruth McDougald of Bunnlevel, NC, Susan Duvall of Baltimore, MD and niece/sister- Dora McLean of Lillington, NC; mother-in-law- Joyce Jackson of Henderson, NC; brothers-in-law- Joe Henry (Cindy) West of Bunnlevel, NC and Levon (Joyce) Jackson of Georgia; one uncle- Charlie (Grace) McDougald of Bunnlevel, NC; God-brother- James (Collie) Thomas; special nephews/nieces- Nigel, Remus, Stanley and Roberto (Christie) McDougald, Fredricka McDougald, Crystal Hamilton and Wandisha Hamilton, Janessa Ferguson and other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be held at Dafford Funeral Home- Dunn, Sunday, August 11, 2024, from 1PM-5PM.
Funeral Service will be held at Andrews Chapel AMEZ Church, Bunnlevel, Monday, August 12, 2024 at 2:00 PM, following the guidelines of the church for entrance and capacity.
Interment will follow in the McLean Cemetery, Bunnlevel.
