It is with heartfelt sympathy that we announce the passing of Mr. Ezequiel Chavez Flores, 92, of 107 Fox Tree Ct., Benson, on Thursday, May 7, 2026. 

He leaves to cherish his memories; his loving wife - Elvira Alvarezs; nine children - Benito Chavez, Gabriela Chavez, Zenon Chavez, Maria de Jesus Chavez, Leopoldo Chavez, Carla Chavez, Maria Josefina Chavez. Maria Cabrea and Laravo Chavez; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Mr. Flores was a noble, reserved, and simple man whose quiet strength touched everyone who knew him. He found joy in the simple things in life: tending to his yard, relaxing in front of the television, and most of all, spending time with his beloved family. Ezequiel was cherished by all his grandchildren, who will fondly remember his gentle guidance and unconditional love.

A man of few words but many talents, Ezequiel delighted in playing his harmonica, often filling the air with melodies that inspired us to dance and celebrate life’s moments together. His legacy lives on in the laughter, music, and warmth he brought into our lives. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

The family will receive friends and family at 107 Fox Tree Ct., Benson, on Monday, May 11, 2026 from 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM. 

Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Newton Grove, Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 10:00 AM, following the guidelines of the church for entrance and capacity.

Interment will follow in the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church Cemetery, Newton Grove.
