Mr. Marvin “Merk” Gerald Wadsworth

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Mr. Marvin “Merk” Gerald Wadsworth, 55, of 405 E. Wake St., Dunn, on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. 

The family will receive friends and family at the home of Curtis and Kareen Teasley at 35 S. Thomas Court, Erwin, NC starting on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, from 5pm-8pm. 

Marvin leaves behind a legacy of love and connection, survived by his children- Kadijah (Jeremiah) Kirk, Marquis Wadsworth, Mekhi Wadsworth, Mariah Wadsworth, Maya Wadsworth, and Messiah Wadsworth; He was a proud grandfather to Zylen, Maliya, and Kaleb Simms; siblings- Rhodann (Sam) Blocker, Jacquelyn Faison, Phyllis McCroskey, Kareen (Curtis) Teasley, Leroy (Regina) Wadsworth, and Lisa Watson; his extended family includes many nieces and nephews- Rhonda Worthy, Nakita Wadsworth, Teknika McCroskey, Shena McCroskey, James “Jr” McCroskey, Michelle Faison, Antoinette Wadsworth, Jarrod Wadsworth, Danielle Wadsworth, Janet Wadsworth, Whitney Watson, and April Gaulden; special friend- Shelia Warren; and  a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, and dear friends.

Public viewing will be held at Dafford Funeral Home Chapel- Dunn, Friday, October 17, 2025, from 12PM-12:55PM.

Funeral Service will follow @ 1PM, following the guidelines of the chapel for entrance and capacity.

Interment will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery, Dunn.
