Mr. Ottis Davie Blue

Mr. Ottis Davie Blue, 85, of Dunn, NC passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024.

Ottis embarked on his professional journey as a Sanitation Engineer, serving the city of Dunn after receiving education in the Sampson County school district. Following years of dedicated service with Republic Waste Services, marked by diligence and perseverance, Ottis opted for retirement, choosing to relish life's pleasures. He gained recognition throughout the community for his favored pastime “people watching” often indulged in at nearby shopping destinations.

His memories will forever be engraved in the hearts of family and friends. He departs with memories to cherish to his children Son Omar Blue (Seterria) of Fayetteville, NC and Daughter Wandreous Blue of Raleigh, NC. Grandchildren: Brantley, Kayson, and Emory. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Public viewing  will be at the Dafford Funeral Home Chapel, Dunn, Tuesday, May 21, 2024 from 2PM - 5PM., following the guidelines of the facility for entrance and capacity.

The Celebration of Life service will be conducted Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 1PM at the Dafford Funeral Home Chapel, Dunn, following the guidelines of the facility for entrance and capacity.  Interment will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery, Dunn.
