Mr. Samuel Walter Currie

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Samuel Walter Currie, 84, of 341 Longhill Dr., Fayetteville, on Monday, May 13, 2024.

The family will receive friends at the home of Kathleen McNeil, 334 Longhill Dr., Fayetteville, starting Thursday, May 16, 2024, from 3PM-6PM, daily. Masks are recommended.

He is survived by:  sister - Kathleen McNeil of Fayetteville; "heart adopted" children - Ivan Lynn Jones (Theresa) of Fayetteville, Pastor Sharon Robinson of St. Pauls; sisters-in-law - Mattie M. Currie and Terry Currie; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Viewing and visitation will be Monday, May 20, 2024 at the Piney Grove FWB Church, Fayetteville, NC from 11:00AM - 11:55AM, with the Celebration of Life service at 12Noon, following the church's outline for entrance and capacity.  Burial, with military honors, will be on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 2:00PM at the Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Spring Lake, NC.
