Mr. Stacey "Bill" Cousar, Jr

Mr. Stacey "Bill"  Cousar, Jr, 73, of 915 E. Harnett Street, Dunn, NC passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024. He was the son of the late Stacey and Carrie Surles Cousar of Dunn.

Stacey, "Bill",  as he was so widely known, attended Trinity AME Zion Church as a youth, where he grew to know about God.  He attended the Harnett County Training School  (Harnett High School) where he graduated in 1969.  After graduating, he went to work with his father, where he learned numerous skills in construction and brick masonry.  In 1971, "Bill" married Tilda Mae Smith, and with this union, two children were born.

Stacey "Bill" leaves to cherish his many memories:  his beloved wife of 52 years, whom he truly loved - Tilda Mae Smith Cousar;  two children - Eldress Teresa Cousar-Graham (Apostle James) of Roseboro, Apostle Wayne Cousar (Alexis) of Dunn; sister - Florence Cousar McKoy of Dunn; 12 grandchildren; sisters-in-law - Mae Pearl Blue, Shirley Brown of Dunn, Carolyn Leake of Benson, Sharon Smith , Barbara  Cohen of Fayetteville; brother-in-law - Neil Smith of Dunn;  a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be at the Dafford Funeral Home Chapel, Dunn, Sunday, January 21, 2024 from 10AM - 12:55PM.  The Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1PM. MASKS ARE REQUIRED FOR ENTRANCE, and please try to exercise social distancing. 

Interment will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery, Dunn.
