Mrs. Janie Wilma (Burrus) Elliott

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Janie Wilma Elliott, 82, of 3097 Bunnlevel-Erwin Rd, Erwin on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.

The family will receive family and friends at the home, from 12PM-8PM, daily..

Mrs. Janie leaves to cherish her memories, daughters- Janis N. Lewis (Jimmy) of Dunn, NC, Marina C. Elliott of Bunnlevel, NC, Conrada D. Elliott of Lillington, NC, and Dr. Taiwona L. Elliott (Imani) of Cornelius, NC; grandchildren- Natasha S. Lewis of Roanoke, VA, Jimmy E. Lewis of Dunn, NC, and Anjellica L. Figueroa-Covington of Greensboro, NC; great grandchildren: Austin K. Brower and Zachery M. Matthews; two brothers- Carl Burrus (Gloria) of Erwin and William Burrus (Phyllis) of Erwin, NC; sister-in-law- Eleanor Carmeron (Earl) of Erwin, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Public viewing will be held at Dafford Funeral Home- Dunn, Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 12PM-5PM.

Celebration of Life will be held at Oak Grove AME Zion Church, Erwin, Monday, May 12, 2025 @ 1PM, following the guidelines of the church for entrance and capacity.

Interment will follow in the Riverside Community Cemetery, Erwin.
