It is profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Magnolia Ray, 86, of 36 St. George St., Erwin, on Friday, January 03, 2025.
Mrs. Magnolia leaves to cherish her memories, two sons- William Odell Ray, Jr. and Ardie Jeron Ray, of the home; four daughters- Judy Ray and Denise Green of Dunn, NC, Doris Ray and Theresa Jones, of the home; 12 grandchildren- Brian, Cory (Kasha), Brandon, Salina, Adrian, Bradley, Myron, Jasmine (Mike), Dallas, Kendrick, Anna and Josiah; 30 great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; four sisters- Virginia Chance of Bunnlevel, NC, Beatrice Chance, Geraldine (Alphonza) McNeill, all of Fayetteville, NC and Dorothy (Ruben) McKoy of Erwin, NC; one brother- Larry D. McNeill of Cary, NC; six sisters-n-law- Mable McNeill, Carlotta McNeill, Idella McNeill, Louise Goode-Evans, Thelma Eatmon and Janice Ray; three brothers-n-law- Larry Ray, Mickey Ray both of Baltimore, MD and Davis Hunter of Erwin, NC; two God children- Jewel Hunter and Reggie Robinson; a devoted and dedicated niece- Phyllis Phillips of Erwin, NC; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be held at Dafford Funeral Home- Dunn, Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 1PM-5PM. Family will be present 4PM-5PM.
Celebration of Life will be held at Cape Fear Conference A, Erwin, Sunday, January 12, 2025 @ 2PM, following the guidelines of the facility for entrance and capacity.
Interment will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery, Dunn.
