We are saddened to announce the passing of Mrs. Minnie Lee Smith, 89, of 3531 Walker Road, Linden, on Saturday, October 26, 2024.
** The family respectfully ask for no visitation at the home; however, phone calls are welcomed. Please respect the families wishes. **
Mrs. Minnie leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter- Bertina Walker of the home; three sons- Heywood Smith (Wilma) of Riverside (Dunn), NC, William Smith of Washington, DC, and David Elliott (Elaine) of Anderson Creek, NC; one sister-in-law- Annie Pearl Davis Walker (William) of Bunnlevel, NC; a daughter-in-law- Peggy Covington (Bunkey) of Riverside, NC; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 8 great- great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Public viewing will be held at Davis Chapel AME Zion Church, Erwin, Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 1PM-1: 55PM.
Celebration of Life will follow @ 2PM, following the guidelines of the church for entrance and capacity.
Interment will follow in the Davis Chapel AME Zion Church Cemetery, Erwin.
