Mrs. Rena B. (Jacobs) Brown

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Rena B. Brown, 89, formerly of Sampson County, NC, to the late Henry Franklin Sr. and Nettie Jane Williams Jacobs. Rena was born on May 25, 1936. She departed this life for her heavenly home August 17, 2025, at Complete Care at Mercerville Skilled Nursing, Mercerville, NJ.

Rena is survived by one daughter- Vanessa Ross (Wallace) of Florence NJ; two granddaughters- Nicolle Jones of CA, and Chanel Haynes of SC; five great grandchildren;  three great-great grandchildren; one brother- Henry Franklin Jr. (Annie) Jacobs; two sisters- Nettie Mclntyre of Trenton, NJ and Mary Bailey of Fayetteville, NC; one aunt- Bonnie McNatt of Hemingway, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and a special friend/sister Clara Sampson of Trenton, NJ.

Viewing will be held Saturday, August 30th, 2025, at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, 150 North Clinton Ave., Trenton, NJ from 10AM to 11AM.

Funeral services will follow @ 11AM, following the guidelines of the church for entrance and capacity.

The family has entrusted Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton NJ, to handle the services.
