Mrs. Zipporia (Mclean) Bell

Mrs. Zipporia McLean Bell, 72, of 58 Caladium Drive, Ormond Beach, FL, transitioned peacefully at her home on December 3, 2023.

Zipporia, affectionately known as “Binkey,” was born the fourth child to the late Matthew McLean and Margaret Monds McLean on February 20, 1951 in Dunn NC. She graduated from Dunn High School in 1970. After moving to Ormond Beach, FL in 1972, she continued her education at Daytona State College, receiving her nursing degrees as an LPN and later an RN. She was very passionate about her work, always giving her patients the best of care. She worked as a nurse for over 40 years, retiring in November 2018.

Zipporia met the love of her life, Phathon Leroy Bell in 1972, marrying him in 1976. She was preceded in death by her parents, Matthew and Margaret McLean, and sister Minnie McLean. She leaves to cherish her beautiful and loving memories her husband of 47 years, Phathon Leroy Bell; son, Christopher Bell (Faith) of Sanford, FL; stepsons, Faison Leroy Bell Jr. and Theronne Bell of Aurora, CO; grandchildren, Charity Bell, Christopher Bell, Jr. and Joshua Bell, all of Sanford, FL; sisters, Dora Harris of Raleigh, NC, Dorothy Burnett of Dunn, NC, Maggie Stewart (Andrew) of Daytona Beach, FL and Constance Russell (Ernest) of Houston, TX; brother, Charles McLean (Barbara) of Raleigh, NC; a special aunt, Ernestine Monds Smith, whom she always visited when in Dunn, NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

There will be a Celebration of Life service on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 11:00 am at R J Gainous Funeral Home, Inc. located at 804 Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard in Daytona Beach, FL.

Local visitation and viewing will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 12:00 noon - 1 PM at Dafford Funeral Home in Dunn, NC, followed by Interment 1:30 PM at Resthaven Cemetery, Dunn.
