Ms. Brenda Gail Johnson, of Benson, NC passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025.

Ms. Brenda Gail Johnson, a resident of Benson, NC, was born in Washington, DC on January 25, 1954 to Mr. Lacy and Mrs. Nellie Clark Johnson.  Brenda was a graduate of Spingarn Senior High School in Washington, DC, and she was a graduate of Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. E7SFC Brenda Gail Johnson Shelton served in the U.S. Army from 1977 to August 27, 1990.  She was also a member of the National Guard. Ms. Brenda Gail Johnson was employed as an Executive Assistant at the Blinkie House in Baltimore, Maryland. She worked and retired as a bank teller at the State Employees Credit Union in Dunn, N.C. Ms. Brenda Gail Johnson married Mr. David Shelton, and they had one son, Mr. Justin Shelton of Ashville, NC. Ms. Brenda Gail Johnson is survived by her sisters, Ms. Sherry Broadway of Upper Marlboro, MD, Ms. LaNeldia Johnson of Washington, DC, and Ms. Regina Boctoe of Washington, DC.

Public viewing will be held at Dafford Funeral Home Chapel, Dunn, Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 12PM-12:55PM.

Funeral services for Ms. Johnson will follow 1:00 pm at Dafford Funeral Home Chapel, Dunn.

Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery, Dunn
