Ms. Sandra Faye Jacobs

We are deeply saddened to announce that Miss. Sandra Faye Jacobs, 75, of 909 East Johnson Street, Dunn, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024.  She was the daughter of the late Henry Jacobs and Daisy Toon Jacobs.

As a child, she joined her family and worshiped at Trinity AMEZ Church in Dunn, and became a longtime member of Trinity where she served the Lord, sang in the choir, directed the choir, and spearheaded many initiatives and programs during her tenure.

In the mid 90's, Sandra took a position at Campbell University.  Her deep love for music and her beautiful singing voice opened the door to start a gospel choir at the university.  She would go on to become the director of the first gospel choir where she served for several years.

Sandra leaves behind to cherish her memories: a sister - Dorothy Jean Jacobs (Amos Whitted) of Dunn; five nephews - Maurice (Valerie) and Michael Bethea, Dwayne (Heather), christopher, and kevin (Doralene) Jacobs; sister-in-law - Mrs. Bedie Jacobs; aunts - Mrs. Lillie Toon Meachem of Durham, Mrs. Dorothy Cunningham, and Mrs. Eula Herring of Clinton; several great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Public viewing will be held at Dafford Funeral Home Chapel, Dunn, Friday, June 7, 2024, from 12PM-12:55PM.

Funeral Service will follow @ 1PM, following the guidelines of the chapel for entrance and capacity.

Interment will follow in the Toon Family Cemetery, Dunn.
