Prophet James Isaac Melvin

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Prophet James Melvin, 67. of Dunn, on April 4, 2025. 

Prophet Melvin leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter- Sarita Perry of Coats, NC; son- Desmond Stinney (Minister Quitana Stinney) of Fayetteville, NC; five grandchildren- Jamya Stinney, Sanaa Jones, and Deshawn Jones of Coats, NC, Markee Stinney of Dunn, NC, and NaJyan Nichols of Fayetteville, NC; brother- Tyrone Lee (Shavonne) of Autryville, NC; two sister-  Apostle Keisha Ferguson (Bishop Leroy) of Tifton, GA, and Elder Moneak Blue (Deacon Gary) of Dunn, NC; two uncles- Albert Melvin Jr. (Beverly) of Oklahoma City, OK, and David Melvin (Deborah) of Newton Grove, NC; special cousin-  David Melvin Jr. of Menifee, California. James leaves behind many cousins, friends, and loved ones who held a special place in his heart, including a God-nephew- Reno Leggett Jr.; Goddaughter- Shawn Ray; and Godson- Brian Morris.

Public viewing will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025 from 1:00 until 5:00 pm at Dafford Funeral Home in Dunn, NC.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Cape Fear A Conference Center in Erwin, NC. 

Interment will follow in the Union Hill Community Church cemetery in Dunn, NC.
