Ralph Edward Lett

Mr. Ralph Edward Lett, 63, of 543 Willis Street, Fredericksburg, VA, formerly of Erwin, passed away August 20, 2020. He was the son of Roosevelt Pipkins and Elizabeth Smith and was reared by his adopted parents - Barney and Lula Lett. He received his education in the public schools of Harnett County and after graduation, enlisted in the United States Army, serving until his retirement. He is survived by: daughters - Matrece Lett Day of Fayetteville, Senaida Lett Green (Zandra) of Columbus, GA, and Verania Vaught of Palmyra, PA; sons - Toma Rivera and Carlon Rivera; sisters - Sandra Smith and Bertina Smith of Erwin, Kathy Smith of Tampa, FL, Cookie Smith of Columbia, MD, Janet Hill of Laurel, MD, Sylvia Smith (Dexter) of Hampton, VA, Antoinette Johnson (Dwight) of Havelock, Katrina Smith of Fayetteville, adopted sister - Ollie Pipkins of Pittsburgh, PA; brothers - Melvin McNeill of Bunnlevel, Travis McNeill of Erwin; seven grandchildren, a special friend - Carmen Rivera, several aunts, one uncle, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

The family is receiving friends at the home of Sandra Smith, 63 Riverside Lane, Erwin.

A viewing will be held at the Dafford Funeral Home Chapel, Dunn, Saturday, August 29, 2020 from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm with no more than 10 individuals inside at one time. Masks are required.

A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 2:00 pm Saturday, at the Dafford Funeral Home Chapel, Dunn, with no more than 50 individuals present. Masks are required and practicing social distancing.
