Obituary

Mr. Raymond H. Spears, 66, of 80 Phillips Road, Dunn, passed away September 20, 2021. He leaves to  cherish his memories: his wife - Joyce Spears of the home; son - Raymond Campbell (Rose) of Willow Spring; daughter and sons whom he loved as his own - Tyronza Brazel (Michael) of Milford, KS, Rodrick (Patricia) and Malik Worth of Dunn; sister - Colene Blue of Linden; brothers - Colden Spears, Nathaniel Spears (Shelia), Larry Spears (Joy) of Lillington, and Victor Spears (Rosetta) of Angier; sisters-in-law - Della Spears, Mary Spears and Michelle Matthews all of Lillington, Louise Spears of Bunnlevel, Freda (Karen) Monk of Portsmouth, VA., and Albet (Montgomery) Raye of Whiting, KS; brothers-in-law - Eric Matthews (Glenda) of Severn, MD, and Quinton Matthews (Deloris) of Lillington; ten grandchildren, one great grandchild; caregivers - Roddrekka Sanchez (Samuel); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The public viewing will be Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm at the Dafford Funeral Home, Dunn. Masks are required to enter.

The funeral service will be conducted Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Cape Fear A Conference Headquarters, 25 Beaver Road, Erwin, with masks required and following the facility's guidelines for entrance, capacity, and social distancing.

Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery, Dunn.
