Obituary

Ms. Sandra Lenette King, 61, of 134 Meadow Lane, Raeford, passed away January 30, 2021. Sandra was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She transitioned on January 30, 2021. Sandra was born in Raeford, NC on August 21, 1959 to the late Mr. Matthew and Mrs. Clara Mae Peterkin. Sandra had a love for singing, cooking and taking care of children. Sandra received Christ in the early part of her life. She attended St. Andrew Church in her early years. Her love for music grew as her love for Christ grew while under the leadership of Apostle Bennie L. Kelly, Miracle Temple HDCOG. Sandra remained faithful in her later years under the leadership of Bishop Eddie Robinson, Mount Carmel Holiness Church. Sandra will be greatly missed. She loved to cook, sing and spend time with family. One of her favorite songs: "I’m looking for a miracle."

She leaves to cherish her memories: her parents - Dr. Johnie and Bishop Veorah Davis of NC; her son - Larry McCollum II of the home; one special son - Jonathan McKinney (Cherelle) of VA; her two special daughters - Frances James (Levie) and Michelle Murphy both of NC who were devoted to her. Sandra has a special granddaughter - Grace McKinney of VA; four sisters - Karen Young (James), Debbie Davis, Betty Jean McNeally all of NC and Cynthia Matthew of NY; six brothers - James Peterkin (Carla), Lonnie Peterkin (Robin), Eric Davis (Terri), Billy Peterkin (Betty), Bobby Peterkin (Edna) all of NC and Curtis Davis (Lillian) of VA; uncle - Dr. Robert Bronson (Gladys) of NC; aunt - Celia Tomlin of NY; two special friends - Lena Leak and Lisa Mills both of NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The viewing will be Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm at the Dafford Funeral Home, Angier, with no more than 10 individuals inside at one time. Masks are required and practice social distancing.

There will also be a viewing Friday, February 5, 2021 from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm at the Cape Fear B Conference Headquarters, Raeford. Masks are required, practice social distancing, and following the facility's guidelines for entrance and capacity.

A private family funeral service will be conducted Friday, February 5, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Cape Fear B Conference Headquarters, Raeford. Masks are required, practice social distancing, and following the facility's guidelines for entrance and capacity.

Burial will follow in the Highland Biblical Gardens, Raeford.
