Sarah Pearl Smith

Ms. Sarah Pearl Smith, 72, of 1603 Chesterfield Lake Road, Angier, passed away January 11, 2022.  She was  the daughter of  the late Easter Mae Smith Gillum and Steve McLean of Angier.

She received her formal education  through  the Harnett County Public School System, and was a faithful member and served on the Mother Board of Deliverance Church International, Angier.

She leaves to cherish her memories:  daughter - Joycelyn Smith  of Texas; siblings - Kaye Smith of Dunn, Richard Smith of Angier,  and Joyce Pugh of Angier; nieces - Angela Purdie White (Melvin) of Angier, Debbie Purdie of Raleigh, Amy Purdie of Lawndale; nephews - Richard Purdie (Oswanna) of Raleigh, Mitchell Smith of Duncan; four great nephews - Darius Purdie of Angier, Jaquares Purdie, Dominique Purdie and Patrick Purdie of Raleigh; two great nieces - ShaNeka Purdie and Andrea Moore of Raleigh; close lifelong friends - Mary McNeil and Traci Duff; and a host  of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, January 23, 2022 at 1:30 pm at Deliverance Church International, Angier.  Burial will follow in the Angier Community Cemetery, Angier.

The public viewing will be Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm at the Dafford Funeral Home, Angier.
