Mr. Stanley Armstrong, Sr, 55, of 5250 Loop Road, Linden, passed away June 11, 2022. The family will receive friends at the home daily from 1PM-7PM. Masks are required.
Stanley Elmer Armstrong, Sr., who was affectionately known as “BoBo”, attended Athens Drive High School where he excelled in wrestling and even won a scholarship to compete at the collegiate level. Stanley graduated with honors from Athens Drive High School, June 1985.
Stanley decided to forego college and instead entered the workforce where he served as a foreman for WB Interiors for over 20 years.
Stanley was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Lee Armstrong, brother, Tyrone Armstrong and his son, Damany Andre Morris.
Stanley is survived by his dedicated and loving wife of 23 years, Abby Armstrong, his children- Stanley Jr (LaKeya), Greensboro, NC, Jasmine Lee, Raleigh, NC, Ayanna Armstrong, Cincinnati, OH, Andrea Morris, Dunn, NC, Destiny Morris, Fayetteville, NC, and a special son Ronte BlaccLove, Greensboro, NC; mother- Irene Walker (Bob) of Clayton, NC; sister- Lorraine Armstrong, Winterville, NC; a special sister-in-law- Kimberly Morris, Linden, NC; ten grandchildren- Zachariah, Ahmad, Tyemir, Zoey, Caleb, Zayden, Christopher, Stanley, III, Kaiser and Olivia; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins nieces, nephews, friends and the kids that he coached throughout the years at Erwin Parks and Recreation.
The public viewing will be Sunday, June 19, 2022 @ the Dafford Funeral Home, Dunn, from 1PM - 5PM. Masks are required to enter.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, June 20, 2022 @ 2PM at the Cape Fear Conference A Headquarters, 25 Beaver Road, Erwin, following the facility's guidelines for entrance and capacity. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery, Dunn.
