Mr. Sterling Trotter, 67, of 110 Hodges Avenue, Dunn passed away, September 5, 2023.

Sterling leaves to cherish his memories, wife- Arita Word-Trotter of Dunn, NC; two sons- Tawand Smith (Angie) and Sterling Eugene Smith “Junior” S. Kyalah “Blu”) both of Atlanta, GA; two steps daughters- Brittney Lewis of Dunn, NC and Tarah Word of Houston, TX; two brothers- Darold Delaney (Renee) of Charlotte, NC, Conrad Trotter “Mali” (Kimlah) of Atlanta, GA; three sisters- Regina Trotter-Adi of Chesapeake, VA, Marsha Trotter of Brooklyn, NY, and Eugenia Trotter-Pearson of Suffolk, VA; two brothers in-law: Donald Word (Ida) and Xavier Guerrant both of Philadelphia, PA; five sisters in-law- Carlise McLean, Fernanda Roper, Lenora Gerald (Henry), Tina Word, and Tamica McNeill (Sam) all of Dunn, NC; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be held at Dafford Funeral Home- Dunn, Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 2PM-5PM. MASKS ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.

Funeral Service will be held at Cape Fear Conference A, Erwin, Friday, September 15, 2023 @ 2PM, following the guidelines of the facility for entrance and capacity.

Interment will follow in the Riverside Community Cemetery, Erwin.
