Darrett L. Robinson

Mr. Darrett L. Robinson, 71, of 7419 Third Street, Wade, passed away August 5, 2020. He is survived by: his daughter - Filisa Murphy of Wade, NC; his grandchildren:  Disha Daretta Murphy, Marquis Murphy, Wytisha Liggons, Deonte Liggons, and Nicholas Robinson-Carter;  four great grandchildren: Jazzmin Murphy, Jimmie Robinson III, Mariah Murphy and Malaya Murphy.  He also leaves to grieve his sisters:  Janis Patricia Robinson-Mathis (Johnny*Late*), Veronica Robinson, Eunice Graves, Shirley DeMary, Sarah Bonita Nsiah, Irish Williams (Lowell), Carleen Asberry and Claudia Delores Wright (Leroy); his brothers - Randy Holmes, Sugar Ray Robinson, Roy Robinson (Bernice), Patrick Graves (Wanda), Jackie Robinson and Maxie Robinson;  his two aunts - Matilda Jane "Tillie" Mills and Elsie Robinson (George Robinson*Late*);  he leaves nieces and nephews that lovingly called him  "Uncle D", with a lifetime of advice, laughs and "Long Talks"; an abundance of loving family and lifelong childhood friends. 

A family viewing will be held at the Dafford Funeral Home Chapel, Dunn, on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, with no more than 10 individuals at any one time. Masks are required and practicing social distancing.
