James Russell Smith

Mr. James Russell Smith, 79, of 468 Massengill Farm Road, Benson, passed away September 10, 2019. The family will receive friends at the home daily between the hours of 1:00 pm - 8:30 pm.

Survivors: daughters - Ann Judkins, Linda Gail Smith (Terry), Patricia McKethan (Andre) all of Benson; sons - Russell Donnell Smith (Linda), Richard Smith both of Benson; brothers - Jerry Lee Smith (Hattie) of Benson, Paul Smith of Newburgh, NY; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren; brothers-in-law - Richard Perry (Mirian) of Raleigh, Roscoe Perry (Sarah) of Coats; sister-in-law - Lena Perry of Raleigh; very special sister-in-law - Elizabeth Smith of Benson; and very close, special friends - Howard Jones and Larry Smith.

Public viewing will be at the Dafford Funeral Home, Dunn, Friday, September 13, 2019 from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm.

The funeral service will be conducted Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Cape Fear A Conference Headquarters, 25 Beaver Road, Erwin.

Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery, Dunn.
