Esther L. Gregory

Mrs. Esther L. Gregory, 70, of 185 Bethune Drive, Fayetteville, passed away March 7, 2021. Sister Gregory leaves to cherish her memories: her loving husband of 39 years - Elder Robert Gregory.  He has always stood by her side and took care of her during her illness until she departed this life. She also leaves to cherish her memories;  her beloved daughter - Towanda Jackson (Tyrus) of Hope Mills; one grandson -  Tyrus Tre’Von Jackson of Jamestown; five sisters - Mary Whitehead, Margie Whitehead, Doretha Talley (Stanley), Ella Malloy, Betty Washington (Gordon); one brother - Arthur Whitehead (Shirlee); three brothers-in-law - James Mayfield (Dylinda), Frederick Gregory, Rodney Gregory (Rose); sisters-in-law - Carolyn Richards and Ida Gregory all of Texas; three special sisters-in-law -  Etta Whitehead, Wanda Whitehead and Carolyn McLean; one aunt - Francis Turner; a longtime friend - Leola Manuel; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.

The public viewing will be Friday, March 12, 2021 at the Dafford Funeral Home, Dunn, from 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm, with no more than 10 individuals inside at one time. Masks are required and practice social distancing.

The funeral service will be conducted Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Dafford Funeral Home Chapel, Dunn, wiith no more than 50 people present. Masks are required and practice social distancing.

Burial will follow in the Kingfield Cemetery, Linden.
