Joe F. McLean, Sr.

Mr. Joe F. McLean, Sr., 91, of 74 Precious Lane, Lillington, passed away November 27, 2021. The family welcomes friends and visitors to the home daily until 8:00 pm. Masks are required to enter and sign the register.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife - Lucy Mae Overby McLean; nine children - Joe F. McLean, Jr. (Hester), Jerome K. McLean, Sr., Michael L. McLean, Sr. (Karen), Reuben L. McLean (Eva), Doris McLean Bates (Charles), Rebecca McLean Barber (William), Davey R. McLean, Henry D. McLean (Jessica), and Ruth McLean Chapman (Elijah); three stepchildren - Dorothy Overby Williams (Anthony), Jeanette Overby Keyes (Kenneth), and Dion Overby; 28 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The public viewing will be Wednesday, December 1, 2021 from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm at the Dafford Funeral Home, Angier. Masks are required to enter.

The funeral service will be conducted Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Cape Fear A Conference Headquarters, 25 Beaver Road, Erwin, with masks required and following the facility's guidelines for entrance, capacity, and social distancing.

Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery, Dunn.
