Josephine Toomer

Mrs. Josephine Toomer, 90, of 702 N 16th St., Erwin, passed away May 15, 2023.

Josephine leaves to cherish her memories, son- John W. Hicks (Jeanette) of Dunn, NC; three daughters- Elder Wanda McNeill of Erwin, NC, Pansy Hall (Burnett) of Kenansville, NC, Blondie Anthony (Thomas) of Erwin, NC; four step- daughters- Joette Newkirk and Toni Toomer of Raleigh, NC, Gwendolyn Stacker (Earl) of Apex, NC, and Wanda Taylor of Moncure, NC; two step-sons- Thomas Derrick Toomer (Angela) of Sheraw, NC, Kim Toomer (Nancy) of Liberty, NC; grandchildren- Tarica Adams (Dana) of Zebulon, NC, Ikeema Word (Shorrod) of Fayetteville, NC, and Brandon Williams; three great-grandchildren; and a host of step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be held at Dafford Funeral Home- Dunn, Friday, May 19,  2023 from 1PM-5PM. MASKS ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED, and Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Revival Deliverance Center, Benson, from 12Noon - 12:55PM, with family present at 12:30PM.  Funeral services will begin at 1PM, following the guidelines of the church for entrance and capacity.  Interment will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery, Dunn.
