Mrs. Mary "Mag" Vandergriff, 80, of 551 Chinaberry Lane, Angier, passed away July 16, 2020. She was the daughter of the late Archie and Esther Smith McNeill of Scotland County. She married Clyde Vandergriff and moved to Harnett County where she resided until God called her home.
She is survived by: her children - Deaconess Teresa Farrington (Daniel) of the home, Barbara Vandergriff of Angier, Deacon Clyde Vandergriff, Jr. (Cora) of Angier, David Vandergriff (Teresa) of Spring Lake, Minister Denise Jones of Angier, and Octemous Vandergriff (Charlene) of Springfield, MA; her siblings - Sarah McKoy, Katie McKoy and Elizabeth McNeill; one special uncle - Eugene Smith; 14 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; special sisters-in-law - Mother Beatrice DeWitt, Mary Ann Lanier, and Mary Joyce Young; three special friends - the late Julia Davis, Mother Maybelle Evans, and Minister Jessie Walker, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.
The viewing will be Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at the Dafford Funeral Home, Angier, from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm with masks required and not more than 10 individuals at any one time, practicing social distancing.
Graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at 11:00 am at the Resthaven Cemetery, 500 S. Burke Street, Dunn. Masks are required and not more than 50 people present, and practicing social distancing.
