Mrs. Ernestine D. Gainey, 77, of 703 East Harnett Street, Dunn, formerly of 159 Buckingham Place, Fayetteville, passed away, Tuesday, April 16, 2024. 

Ernestine leaves to cherish her memories, daughter- Regina Gainey Woodard of Fayetteville, NC, Reginald Nathon Gainey of Boynton Beach, FL, Douglas Latrell Gainey of Fayetteville, NC (Danyel Edwards, Daughter-In-Love) and Barrett Lance Gainey of the home; six grandchildren- Marissa Marcianelli (Nicolas), Laporcha Gainey (Hoderick McGeachy, Future Grandson), Johannes Woodard, Johnathan Woodard (Ericka), Timothy Gainey, and Tristan Gainey; six great grandchildren- Camilla Marcianelli, Markian Marcianelli, Nikiya Woodard, Haven Woodard, Hoderick McGeachy Jr., and Karter McGeachy; siblings- Minister Louise McBride, Eddie Draughon (Ada), Milton Draughon (Emily), and Jerry Draughon (Lorine);  and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Viewing will be on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at the Dafford Funeral Home, Dunn, from 1PM - 5PM.  Masks are highly recommended.

The Celebration of Life Service will be on Friday, April 26, 2024 @ 1PM at the Cape Fear A Conference Headquarters, Erwin, following the guidelines of the facility for entrance and capacity. 

Interment will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery, Dunn.
