Ms. Veola G. Baker, 90, of 7412 Main Street, Wade, passed away September 3, 2021. She leaves to cherish her memories: her daughters - Elsie Gilmore of Fayetteville, Gwendolyn Baker of Wade, and Sylvia Womack (Hurbert) of Philadelphia, PA; Her girls as she called them - Geraldine Sheffield, Maxine Baker, and Loretta Young; her sister - Vivian Sells of Los Angeles, California; sisters-in-law - Ernestine Graham and Mattie Sessoms; granddaughter - Latosha Hunt; grandson - Maurice Worley; eight great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
The public viewing will be Friday, September 17, 2021 at the Dafford Funeral Home, Dunn, from 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Masks are required to enter.
The funeral service will be conducted Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the Holiness Chapel Original F.W.B. Church, 4884 Holiness Chapel Church Road, Godwin. The funeral service will be Private and by Invitation Only. Masks are required and following the church’s guidelines for entrance, capacity, and social distancing.
Burial will follow in the Holiness Chapel Original F.W.B. Church Cemetery, Godwin.
