Vickie Lane McNeill Johnson

Mrs. Vickie Lane McNeill Johnson, of 2688 Bethabara Road, Apt. 2, Winston-Salem, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021.  She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Virginia McNeill of Harnett County.  She was educated in the Harnett County School system and furthered her education at Winston-Salem State University with a degree in Nursing, where she also became a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  Vickie was employed for 34 years in the nursing field at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center and later transferred to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, where she served patients with kindness, grace, and diligence until her health failed.

She is survived by:  two sons - Courtney Ryan McNeill of the home,  Xavier D. Johnson of Aberdeen, NC.; former husband - Obie Johnson of Winston-Salem; four sisters - Deloris Mitchell of New York, NY., Gwendolyn Jones of Erwin, Doris White (Jerry) of Fayetteville,  Shirley McNeill Ham of Durham;  two brothers - Clarence McNeill, Jr. (Sarah) of Raleigh,  Garry McNeill (Charlene) of Georgia; three aunts - Cherry McNeill of Erwin, Willa Vicks of South Carolina,  Marie McNeill of Savannah, GA.; four nephews, four nieces, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 18, 2021 at 1 PM at the Mount Sinai Deliverance Temple, 2590 Reynolds Park Road, Winston-Salem, directed by the Russell Funeral Home of Winston-Salem.  Interment will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 12 Noon at the Riverside Community Cemetery, Erwin, directed by the Dafford Funeral Home of Dunn.
